ABOUT ME

I have always been mad about hats- ever since I was a little girl my outfit wasn't complete without a hat. Mind you not any old hat will do - I wasn't a huge fan of those wide brim school hats with a toggle (was anyone?).

Hats used to be an integral part of an outfit and you wouldn't leave the house without them. Society has become so casual these days, but I find whenever I am wearing my hats people always comment on how stylish I look so we still appreciate the effort. They are a powerful accessory that takes an outfit to the next level. 

And we haven't even talked about the fact they have one very important job of protecting our precious skin- something that we have again become a little bit relaxed about. 

SO I learnt millinery and started making my own hat range designing hats with a softness and femininity to them that I felt really suited me. I wanted soft neutrals, natural fibres and flattering crowns and brims where you put it on and it makes you look and feel beautiful. 

My family own a merino wool clothing business called Smitten Merino and that gave me an incredible platform to launch my hat business off. I wear them in all of the photoshoots and have been lucky enough to watch my parents grown Smitten and learn from them.

Now here we are 7 years later and I am still as excited as when Mason Hats first began. 

P.S. If you are wondering where the name MASON came from it is my maiden name.
